Estate Rentals: Racho Tranquilo
Rancho Tranquilo
Survivor Style - This
incredible property
is located on the semi-remote Cayo Agua, a short
45 minute boat ride from Bocas Town. Your trip
to the property will lead you through some of the
most pristine mangrove islands in the world and across
an open expanse of the Caribbean bristling with coral
reefs. Upon arrival you will be greeted
by a majestic yet primitive beach and with panoramic
views of the Laguna de Chiriqui and the high mountains
of the Central Cordillera of Panama to the South. Sunsets viewed
along the beach to the West are breathtaking and
the jungle directly behind the property to the North
teems with life. It is the ultimate getaway
property for those wanting to immerse themselves
in the true island lifestyle. Here you can literally
escape the comforts of modern society and experience
a Survivor style vacation.
The rental is composed
of two buildings and a dock. The larger dwelling
is located right on the beach and is ideal for
sleeping with a thick palm frond roof to keep you
dry and cool and plenty of windows to
allow for cross-ventilation. The other is
an open-sided structure located over the water
adjacent the dock. This
building is perfectly suited for relaxation, meal
preparation, dining or partying. Only the
most basic conveniences are provided in keeping
with the Survivor theme - Native style furniture
and hammocks for lounging, kerosene lamps
and candles for illumination and simple
coolers filled with ice to keep your perishables. We
also provide a propane stove and basic cooking
utensils along with towels, soap and other essential
items. You will also find detached bathhouse
featuring fully screened but open air shower facilities
and an environmental toilet to meet your sanitation
needs.
Meals may be prepared by you from items purchased
in town or bought from the local Guyami
Indians. You
may also wish to have your meals prepared by
the natives and brought to your door. If this
is the route you choose to take please do not
expect fancy or well decorated plates - what
you will experience is completely safe and wholesome
food gathered from the surrounding jungle and
the sea. We
guarantee you will never experience anything
like it anywhere else.
Recreational opportunities abound
if you don't mind being a little adventurous. Consider
long walks on deserted beaches or hiking through
the jungle. Native style kayukas are
provided should you wish to take a paddle down
the beach or out to the nearby patch reefs
for snorkeling. Swimming
is of course available right at your
doorstep and fishing can be done from shore
or from your kayuka. If
you wish guided trips can be arranged with
the natives or one of our professional tour
leaders. Plan
on socializing amongst yourselves as there
are no neighbors or arrange a day trip to the
nearby town of Chiriqui Grande or one of the
resorts located closer to Bocas Town. Whatever
your pleasure we are here to do our best to
make your trip a memorable one.
