This lot has a 422 m2, 20-year Maritime Concession (not a Provisional concession, but a full concession) for the entire survey area with an inclusion, which allows the corporation to ask to expand the concession conditions to include the construction of a new home or hotel on this site. Perfect over-the sea hotel location. The house is at the end of the main street of Bocas. The lot is currently occupied by an income producing old Key West-style apartment house built over the sea with a wrap around upstairs veranda. Renovated in 2006, with a full kitchen with teak floors, laundry, Wi-Fi, and a dock with a "tiki" hut. There are AC's in every bedroom. Upgraded sewer and water system, and a bathroom on each floor. Enjoy relaxing under the dock "tiki" hut, while viewing the mainland mountains, or snorkeling among beautiful sponges and fish right off the dock. Flower boxes all around and the front yard is beautifully landscaped. The building is typically fully occupied. There is still plenty of room to expand the house out over the sea. Last of its kind with financing available! http://www.casaverdebocas.com One of the largest benefits for Casa Verde guests is that you can enjoy Bocas' pristine water right off the dock. If you are not in the mood to take a trip to the beach, you can snorkel in the back yard or use one of the large inner tubes to float and relax in the water. In addition, guests can take advantage of the second story sundeck to get the best tan and best view in Bocas. The hostel also offers a daily budget shuttle to Red Frog Beach for those who want a cheap and easy way to reach the beaches of Bastimentos Island. In August 2012 we started up a comprehensive tour booking desk at Casa Verde. We are happy to help you book any tours you are interested in and also run daily group tours to help guests get out to the rare and unseen parts of the islands. Beginning in September 2012 we will be renting out kayaks, stand up paddle boards and bikes all directly from the hostel and Casa Verde Guests get a discount on all rentals! A highlight of Casa Verde Hostel that really sets it apart from other hostels in Bocas is the incredible waterfront bar and restaurant, The Greenhouse Cafe. The restaurant serves up delicious lunch and family style dinner while the bar has a great selection of fresh fruit smoothies and of course super cold beers! Once a week, we host a community potluck dinner and acoustic jam session which is a popular hangout for locals and backpackers alike. Because sound travels easily through the hostel walls, the bar area closes at 10 pm out of respect for the hostel guests. You may read past reviews talking about the loud bar and live music--we made the decision to downsize the bar and cut out the rowdy night time scene because it was at times difficult for guests to sleep and we would rather be known as a good place to rest and relax than a party hostel. After 10 pm outside guests are prohibited and we request that Casa Verde guests respect nighttime quiet hours. For the peace and safety of our guests and their belongings, Casa Verde has security cameras as well as a night time security guard. Our staff is dedicated to providing you with the best possible service. Most speak English and Spanish as well as other languages - however, if there is a communication problem we ask that you speak with one of our managers. Also, should you ever have any problems with the service you receive let a manager know immediately.
