A true adventure!!! Great for mountain bikes, dual sport motorcycles, off road motorcycles, ATV, SSVs horseback riding or hiking. We drive all terrain vehicles and it is a short pleasant adventure to drive from Caldera to the hot springs. Cars can’t make it all the way down to the hot springs location so we park the truck on the open flat area some five hundred (500) meters before the hot springs spot. Going down to the hot springs, there’s no signs to indicate you are on the right path, and you will rely on by passers and your Spanish language skills to ask local Panamaniam farmers: ¿Cómo llego a los pozos termales? You may find other tourists going to or returning from the hot springs. The beginning of the path to make it to the hot springs is on the right side of the road when your are coming from the Caldera Police Post. where farmers coming from different far away secluded off the beaten path neighborhoods park their horses for the day to run their errands in Caldera, Boquete or David, it’s difficult to understand you are at the correct starting point. Because of public transpirtation availability the morning hours is the best time to arrive at the starting point and begin your trek to the hot springs. You know you are on the right path as you approach the Río Chiriquí Nuevo adduction channel for the hydroelectric, and some three (0300) meters further down, another hanging bridge over Río Chiriquí Nuevo River.
